Harriet Achiaa Dwamena is the Head of the Biometrics and Statistics section of the Institute. She holds an M.Phil. (Applied Mathematics) from then Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana and a B.Sc. (Mathematics) from the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT), Tarkwa, Ghana.
She specializes in mathematical modeling and data analysis. She is very proficient in the use of various statistical software packages like STATA, SPSS, SAS, Genstat, etc.
Ms. Dwamena has trained several scientists and staff in the use of various software packages and currently teaches Statistics and Biometry at the CSIR College of Science and Technology (CCST).
She is an old student of Kumasi Girls’ Secondary School and married with three children.
She is a member of the African Women in Mathematics/International Biometrics Society.
